This Engagement Ring truly is a masterpiece in so many ways. When this client contacted me to meet up for a private consult, he had already been looking around at other jewellers in trying to check out all available options that might suit him and his partner, but when he met with me he was quite clear on the direction that he wanted take. He had a budget to which I fit into perfectly but for him he loved the fact that I had put quality as a priority for the entire piece from start to finish.

Other jewellers he had seen were all talking about the main centre stone and putting the big sell just on this, when really, it’s everything in an engagement ring that needs to be spoken about. One thing I pointed out was that with this ring it must be completely handmade and set with precision and must not be cast. Another thing was that in the original image that the client had was that the centre stone was set with 6 claws and I suggested that due to the centre stone size he was selecting that it would look better as a 4 claw to which this is really what he actually wanted. Listening and understand the customer’s needs and requirements and explaining everything about the design was critical in achieving this dream ring.

The outcome is this amazing piece of work with a 1.20ct Round Brilliant Cut diamond with an additional 0.90ct of smaller diamonds handset in the side of the centre setting and in band. He was speechless as he always thought that this part of his engagement was going the hardest, when it was actually made easy with me guiding him and helping extract exactly what he wanted as his final piece of jewellery to present to his now fiancé.

Andrew came to me with his thoughts for his Trilogy Diamond Engagement Ring which after talking with him I was getting exciting. He presented to me a few images of what he was after and I had an idea for the stones which were the “CrissCut Emerald Diamond”. I don’t really sell these diamonds that much, but after getting inspiration from the images that we spoke about I just knew that these diamonds in this ring would be suited perfectly.’

After explaining the stones to Andrew and designing the ring to how he envisioned it to be, I contacted my supplier after many years, and they were more than willing to accommodate to bring this amazing piece to life. To say I was even more excited was an understatement. Andrew was on board with the stones and design, and I knew that these CrissCut Emerald Diamonds were really going to define this ring and make it the statement piece that he was after for his engagement.

The stones were specifically cut according to my brief to my supplier and when they arrived, we were all set to make this ring for real. Everything was perfect and the piece came out exactly how Andrew and I had both spoken about and he is now a very happy engaged man. Couldn’t be more thrilled with this piece as I hadn’t made a trilogy ring in some time and to make this ring with these amazing CrissCut Emerald Diamonds was truly a masterpiece.
